Our Wedding Dress Picks For Meghan Markle
Our entire team is anticipating the royal wedding and most importantly, which designer and what dress Meghan Markle will be wearing when she weds her fairytale prince. To help shed some light on this mystery, our Creative Director, Lucia Cornejo, selected a few of our dresses fit for the new royal.
Pick No. 1: Viktor & Rolf
“I love this pick for Meghan because it is princess ball gown, but with the modernity and fashion touch that is deserving of Meghan. With this volume and a long train, she won’t get lost in a grand chapel or in the parade of cars and people that will be surrounding her. Meghan’s look is often understated, yet polished and I think this dress is just that…...but in ball gown form.”
Pick No. 2: Inbal Dror
“The textures on this dress are everything, from the 3D flowers and the almost laser cut lace to the small touches of bling. It is fashion forward and right up Meghan’s ally. Even though it has a high neckline and long sleeves, the interesting lace and open back make it feel modern and unlike your grandmother’s lace dress. This dress cuts right above the knee, so I like to pair it with a tulle overskirt to add volume for the ceremony. It’s really two dresses in one – one for the walk down the aisle of St. George’s Chapel and one for the after party. "
Pick No. 3: Pronovias
“Though a bit risque for the conservative royal family, I love the notion of choosing a sexier option for the potential Duchess-to-be. It has the long sleeves fitting of a church ceremony, but is infused with something surprising that nods to the risks Meghan often takes in her fashion choices. This dress would hug Meghan’s body quite nicely and show off her beautiful curves.”
Pick No. 4: Mark Zunino
“This Mark Zunino is a great beaded option for Meghan as the beading is done in a modern and non-conventional way. The striping helps to elongate the body, and the sweetheart neckline is a classic choice. I love pairing this dress with a cathedral length cape to give needed coverage for the cathedral but also the drama. The cape is a great alternative to the veil and something that I would love Meghan to wear!”
