Today, we are excited to share the stories of this beautiful fitted Inbal Dror gown and how two different brides personalized this dress with her own style. As a bridal consignment store selling preowned wedding dresses, it is so rewarding for us to see a dress live on and become a big part of another lucky bride’s wedding day!

Let’s follow the story of this beautiful Inbal Dror from a tropical luxe celebration to a romantic, rustic restaurant party.

Savvy Bride Sherrie - Tropical Luxe Celebration

Aaron and Sherrie met at Tao Beach pool party in Las Vegas through random chance as their travel buddies recognized each other from their college days. A poolside conversation led to a proposal on a helicopter ride years later over the Long Island beaches and Fire Island. They tied the knot in a modern synagogue in New York.

“We had a Black Tie wedding because I wanted it to be a very formal affair with the ladies in gowns and gentleman in tuxedos. As far as decor, we love beach clubs with great music, such as Bagatelle and Nikki Beach, so that was the “vibe” we went for. We incorporated this touch to our flowers - from covering the chandeliers with tropical orchids to adding palms to our centerpieces. We also added a personal touch with customizing everything from monogramming the linens to adding our names to the dance floor.

To make the wedding even more special to our guests, we hired a choreographer and surprised our guests with a special first dance. My husband, who is also a DJ, compiled a special mix for the dance so that we kept changing the song and dance styles. I am also a classically trained opera singer, so I secretly met with our wedding band months prior and practiced an arrangement to serenade him on stage and sing “Just the way you are” by Billy Joel.

As for my wedding dress, I had an interest in Israeli fashion designer wedding gowns for their intricate crystals and delicate lace details. Ultimately, I chose this Inbal Dror form-fitting mermaid cut gown because I felt comfortable and confident in the way it fit my body. I also loved the dramatic train and the ruching in the back. My favorite accessory was a handmade Berta veil that had crystals that sparkled through my walk down the aisle.”

Savvy Bride Danielle - Romantic Rustic Party

Like most couples these days, Danielle and Jon met online as Danielle wanted an easier, less stressful ways to meet her match. It started with a great conversation over online messaging that blossomed into a proposal and a wedding at New York City Hall and a reception in a restaurant.

“We did our actual ceremony at City Hall in New York because we wanted the act of getting married to be more simple and intimate. However, we celebrated with our 75 family members and friends at a reception at a restaurant in New Jersey with a fantastic party space. I wanted it to feel very intimate, rustic and romantic, so I filled the entire room with hundreds of candles.

I actually had two favorite parts to the day. The first was giving a speech because it was outside of my comfort zone, so I was quite nervous to do it. However, it went very well! My second favorite part was being able to really engage with and speak to every person in the room. Because we only had 75 people, I was able to speak to everyone, so I loved that.

I only got my wedding dress 29 days before the wedding! I tried to get something custom made, but I didn’t like the way it was turning out. I contacted Our Story Bridal in a panic hoping I could find something that I loved. This Inbal Dror dress was the first one I tried on, and I picked it because it was a not as traditional as the other dresses. It has a nude tone to it and a sexy corset vibe. It also fit like a glove, making alterations minimal. I also loved that it had rhinestones on it and a beautiful corset back. Everything just went together so beautifully.”
